  at the regional convention, the speaker said that jehovah is our best friend.

  so let's see...if i need a ride to the doctor's office can i call on my best friend to give me a ride to the office?

  At the Regional convention, the speaker said that Jehovah is our best friend. So let's see...if I need a ride to the doctor's office can I call on my best friend to give me a ride to the office? When I wake up in the morning and tell my best friend Jehovah, "Good morning, how are you?", he never answers my question.

  If I want to share a meal with my best friend what will Jehovah eat? When I tell my best friend a joke will I hear him laugh? When my mom died and I told my best friend, God did not tell me how sorry he was and he did come to the funeral, nor did he even send me a sympathy card.

  I guess that I just expect a little more from a best friend. Another speaker said that we can also make Jehovah happy or sad. I wonder which member of the Gibbering Booty Jehovah shared that with so that we know we are so important in the universe that we affect the emotions of God?

  I watched some of the Regional Assembly

  i watched about 2 hours of the regional assembly and these are my thoughts.

  the video's and songs did stir my good memories of when i was a jdub elder and very happy in the religion.

  i can see how these two things would make it difficult to leave the borg because of the emotional buy-in.. now getting into the talks, the cults true colors show and i wonder how in the hell was i a part of that for over 40 years.

  The Borg likes to roll out the FOG. My JDub wife is always talking about how guilty she feels. Do more and more. What the hell...the JDubs are unpaid volunteers and it costs lots of money to be an active Witless.

  Now getting into the talks, the cults true colors show and I wonder how in the hell was I a part of that for over 40 years. Just two examples are in the first talk where the speaker says that we need courage to let our young daughter die if she needs a blood transfusion. Then we need courage while out in the ministry and we approach three men by their motorcycles and they have flags.

  I think that the Gibbering Body knows how important their videos are to hold things together and no doubt there will be a lot more coming in the future. Without these videos there would be many more Witlesses heading for the exit doors.

  Special Seating at the Convention

  has anyone noticed at the convention that there is special reserved seating?

  the convention that i attended (to keep peace in the family) had seating in the suites of the arena.

  all arenas, stadiums etc.

  Just wait until after the Great Tribulation. Do you think the dividing up of who gets to live in which mansion will be first come first serve? I am sure that the prince elders, ministerial servants, and regular pioneers will get the pick of the litter. Any regular JDub publisher squatters will be told to find a house on the other side of town and don't forget to pick up your shovel in the morning to start burying the decaying dead bodies.

  I guess that it is just too bad that there isn't going to be an earthly paradise anyway.

  It is almost impossible to reason with a JDub about the end being just around the corner. The Borg has been saying the end is near for 130 years. Three generations of JDubs who thought they would not die are dead and the current believers will also die.

  My mom said 60 years ago that I would not finish high school because the end was so close. When she died 5 years ago we talked about what she told me about high school and she chimed in just like a true die-hard JW, "Well just think how much closer we are today compared to then."

  We can make Jehovah happy!

  light travels at 186,000 miles per second and it would take light 25,000,000,000 years to travel across the visible universe.. with that in mind, the borg tells us that we can make jehovah happy or sad by the things that we say or do.

  i think that yhwh has bigger fish to fry.. so god watches and listens to everyone on earth so that he knows what emotions to feel.. the borg acts like they are the center of the universe and so do most jdubs.

  they are just a three ring clown circus..
